Fri, Apr 25 2025

To celebrate International Penguin Day, Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages (CCPB) teamed up with Marine Coastal Conservation (MCC) to clean the Hermanus harbour precinct—home to the critically endangered African Penguin.

In a heartwarming display of environmental stewardship, Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages (CCPB) partnered with Marine Coastal Conservation (MCC) to conduct a vital clean-up operation in the Hermanus harbour precinct, coinciding with International Penguin Day.

The initiative aimed to protect the critically endangered African Penguin and broader marine life from plastic pollution and waste. The African Penguin population faces severe threats, making such direct conservation efforts crucial for their survival.

Members of the CCPB Hermanus team actively participated in the clean-up, joining a dedicated group of volunteers. Together, they meticulously removed waste from along the harbour side and even ventured into the water in canoes to fish out debris.

This collaborative effort underscores CCPB's ongoing commitment to fostering a #WorldWithoutWaste and highlights the power of community partnerships in creating tangible environmental impact. The company urges the public to play their part by consistently recycling and maintaining clean environments.
