Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages refreshed the 33rd Calypso Beach Cricket Festival, celebrating community spirit and boosting female participation, partnering with Sporting Chance to uplift young athletes.
The 33rd Annual Calypso Beach Cricket Festival recently brought vibrant energy to Sunrise Beach, Muizenberg, with Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages (CCPB) proudly providing refreshments for the event. Held in collaboration with Sporting Chance, the day celebrated community spirit and the power of sport.
The festival, founded over three decades ago by Brad Bing of Sporting Chance, was established to introduce cricket to under-resourced communities. This year's event placed a special emphasis on increasing female participation, aligning with the significant growth of women's cricket across South Africa.
CCPB's involvement underscores its commitment to partnering with organisations that share its values in community upliftment. Sporting Chance, a long-standing partner, will continue its outreach through upcoming holiday clinics designed to engage and entertain children.
"We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to CCPB for their invaluable support and involvement in the recent Calypso Cricket Event," stated Brad Bing, Managing Director of Sporting Chance. "Your commitment to fostering community spirit and promoting sportsmanship made this event an unforgettable experience for all participants. From the excitement of the matches to the incredible team spirit. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey and for showing that together, we can achieve great things.”
